The first note can be found right after you are sent out to the infirmary of the prison as part of your first quest. Pack a flare or two, as you’ll quickly notice the abundance of wolves around this region. These notes are scattered throughout the region, so be prepared to make treks to a few different areas of the map. The following is a guide on how to obtain the “Black Black Heart” achievement in The Long Dark for finding and picking up all 4 blood-stained notes containing history of Blackrock.
